Brilliant! We stayed here, in this great location, for 5 days and we received a very friendly and warm welcome from the family, the owners of the apartments wich were extremely nice and hospitable with us. The rooms where we stayed had everything we want and was very comfortable, with a very pleasant and large balcony with sea-view, overlooks the city and Biokova mountains. It was very clean and serviced every day. The owners offer us wine and raki (croatian brandy) and a plateau with croatian specialities. The location of apartments is near central market, in front of Makarska harbor and 10 minutes from the public beach and centre of the town. Great place to stay and very, very highly recommended!

+ The owner's were very friendly, they even let us use their private parking and laundry rack. + The centre of Makarska is in walking distance but at night it's very quiet.

- It was quite difficult finding the apartment as street names are not well indicated. So it's better to call the owners when you arrive in Makarska that they explain you the way.

Very nice family, great location, private parking (a must in Makarska), the apartment was cleaned every day, nice balcony, nice kitchen (including everything you need), local food and wine as welcome gift from owners. Go again? Definitely! :)

We received a very friendly, warm welcome from the family. They were very generous with offers of coffee, extra washing facilities and a lift to the bus station. The room had everything we wanted and was very comfortable. It also had a very pleasant balcony. It was very clean and serviced every day. The location for us (a retired couple arriving by bus) was absolutely perfect - just a few minutes from the bus station and a few minutes from restaurants (the family gave us a very good recommendation) and the harbour front. However, if you had young children looking for a beach, that was a little farther away.

I only put 'good' for facilities for though the pressure and hot water supply was excellent, the shower fitting that holds the shower rose was slightly broken. No doubt that will be fixed very soon.

The apartment has a great balcony from where you can see the ocean. The owners were extremely nice and hospitable. And the location is great! A 2 minute walk to the oceanside. Highly recommended!

Very friendly family who were most hospitable and provided excellent information to get the best from the area. Spacious, clean room was well equipped. Very handy location for main square and waterfront. No problems about leaving luggage after checkout to pick up later.

This family run business provided excellent hospitality throughout my brief stay here. Nothing was too much trouble, I was offered a cup of tea / coffee both on my arrival and departure. If you want a budget room close to centre of Makaskar, then you won't go far wrong booking with this family.

The family were really friendly and helpful even if they didn't speak english, but they do speak germany.

The staff was very kind, giving our group a lot of good information about the city. Rooms were cleaned every day, towels changed. Good parking places. Very close to the Center and the public beaches. Easy to reach by car - for this type of city (hills, one way narrow streets). Also fairly close to 2 of the night clubs on the beach. Nice sea-view from the large balcony.

Quite new and excellent! Large balcony overlooks the city, mountains and harbour. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Easy walk to the harbour front. Great place to stay.

Makarska has many one-way streets making driving a little tricky for newcomers. The apartment is on a very narrow, steep street above the city and is a bit difficult to find. Parking is limited.

The family that run these apartments are so nice, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Very friendly, hospitable people who really made us feel at home. They will collect you from the bus station if you call them. The apartments are very central, they are a 60 second walk from the main square of Makarska. It is about 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The beds and towels were changed every day. We had nice views from our balcony. I would have no hesitation in staying there again if I was visiting Makarska.

Some people may not like the walk from the town back to the apartment as it is uphill but this did not bother us.
